Saving Pavements, Dollars, and the Environment
The 2010 Asphalt Pavement Conference will present sessions on asphalt pavements that are not only high quality and long-lasting but also environmentally friendly, economic issues the asphalt industry is facing and methods to optimize highway dollars, and the effective use of asphalt methods and materials.
Topics will include pavement types such as porous pavements, RAP, RAS, WMA, and Perpetual Pavement. Also the highway reauthorization bill, life cycle cost analysis, alternate bidding, and pavement management systems. Additionally, asphalt use in the Airfield Asphalt Pavement Technology Program, the MSCR and ABCD test methods, tack coats, crack & seal, break & seal, and the Smoothseal thin lift overlay. The conference is designed to maximize the effectiveness of agencies, contractors, and suppliers in today's environment.
