Nationally recognized asphalt emulsion experts are presenting a webinar series in April and May.
The webinars will focus on the characteristics of asphalt emulsions and best practices for their use including choosing the correct treatment for your project.
On Tuesday, April 27 Chris Lubbers of KRATON Polymers will introduce the topic and discuss the chemistry of emulsions. Laurand Lewanowski of PRI Asphalt Technologies will cover emulsion storage, handling, sample testing and grade selection on Tuesday, May 4.
Make Ishe of Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc. will analyze surface treatments including chip seals, slurry seals and much more on Tuesday, May 11. Arlis Kadrmas of BASF Corporation will discuss emulsion aggregate mixtures on Tuesday, May 18.
The series concludes Tuesday, May 25 with a look at asphalt pavement recycling and other applications with Keith Davidson of McAsphalt Industries, Ltd. Each session begins at noon (EST) and is 2 hours in length with a 10-minute break after the first hour.
Attendees can register online. The fee is $250 and includes the download of presentation slides and access to the live sessions as well as the recording of each session. Registrants can earn seven professional development hours (PDHs) by taking part in the series.
The series closely follows the MS-19 Basic Asphalt Emulsion Manual. Attendees are encouraged to purchase a copy before the sessions begin.
