Time at Asphalt Institute: 16 years

Kendal joined the Asphalt Institute in 2009. Before coming to the association, he worked in the newspaper, magazine and broadcasting industries in Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky, spending 13 years with the Lexington Herald-Leader in Lexington, Kentucky. A graduate of the Leadership Kentucky program, he also serves on several community organization boards in Central Kentucky. Kendal holds a B.S. in journalism from the University of North Alabama. He manages the publication of “Asphalt” magazine, oversees the production of Asphalt Institute technical manuals and supports all aspects of the organization’s communications. Being a journalist for over 35 years, he is not a fan of Oxford commas.
