Rise STEM Academy for Girls
Asphalt Institute Binder Technicians spent time with incredible fourth- and fifth-grade students at Rise STEM Academy for Girls in Lexington, Kentucky. Our team explained the role of asphalt binders and discussed viscosity and elasticity. These young scholars asked thoughtful questions as they connected with professionals in real-world STEM careers.
2026 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting
Asphalt Institute engineers and researchers participated in the 105th Annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., contributing to key technical committees, panel discussions, and workshops. Throughout the week, the team helped advance conversations on asphalt materials, pavement design, sustainability, and emerging transportation topics through active leadership and presentations. It was a busy and productive week of collaboration, learning, and knowledge-sharing with transportation professionals from around the world.
