Jason Wielinski joined the Asphalt Institute as a Regional Engineer in 2022 and brings more than 15 years of experience in the asphalt industry. His experience includes HMA mix design, quality control testing, asphalt mixture performance evaluation, pavement design, and pavement rehabilitation and preservation project selection.
Jason has authored and contributed to several research publications and technical reports. He previously served as President of the Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA) and has been an active member of multiple TRB committees, technical advisory panels, and state and national working groups.
Before joining the Asphalt Institute, Jason managed an asphalt research and mix design laboratory. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University.
Jason and his wife, Alicia, live in the Cuyahoga Valley in Northeast Ohio with their two children.
